Licensed Psychologist at BUP KID

BUP Gender Incongruence and Gender Dysphoria (KID) is a unit within BUP Research, Development and Education (FoUU).

BUP FoUU is a dynamic workplace where clinical staff and researchers work closely together. We are now looking for a licensed psychologist for a parental leave substitute.

BUP KID receives children and adolescents referred from child psychiatry in Stockholm and other parts of the country. We assess and investigate gender incongruence and gender dysphoria and provide interventions for children and adolescents when needed.

As of January 1, 2024, all gender dysphoria care is provided as national highly specialized care (NHV), according to a decision by the National Board of Health and Welfare. BUP KID is, together with ANOVA (transmedical clinic for individuals over 18), part of this care.

BUP KID is now looking for a psychologist who wants to work with children and adolescents up to 18 years old who are being assessed for gender incongruence and gender dysphoria.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Child psychiatric assessment and investigation
• Follow-up, exploratory conversations, group activities, parental support
• Shorter individual treatment interventions focusing on gender dysphoria
• Collaboration with healthcare neighbors, schools, and social services

Qualifications

You should be a licensed psychologist. It is an advantage if you have CBT competence, experience working in child and adolescent psychiatric outpatient care, and/or experience with neuropsychiatric issues.

Employment Type

BUP KID is part of BUP Stockholm. The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Stockholm (BUP) offers specialized psychiatric care for children and adolescents under 18 years of age within the Stockholm region. We are part of the Stockholm County Healthcare Area, which is a healthcare provider within Region Stockholm.
